The Might B Team
What can we say about Hull?
Well, for a kick off its a coastal town at the mouth of humber. It is home to Kingston Kayak club, Hull Mariners and was birth place of trevor macdonald (I think!). But that’s about it!
A C(Dream)-team conceptualisation
The dream team this weekend comprised of Tonksie (Captain), Rachel (curious/new), Andrew (lego), Francis (ponytail), Mark (jeans) and Ros (german). What an eclectic mixup for an afternoons bumper canoeing!
Everything was good, well goodish. There were some highs, topping the group, curious/new, Lego and german’s first proper tournament for the tigers, there were some excellent performances as the weekend progressed and the team set a high standard for future tournaments. Curius/new made a middle age man swim, german scored a double handed “wundergoal” to open up the rampage of goals against the mighty baldock babes. Jeans continued to dominate the sprints, winning the vast majority, although often capsized with delight. Captain and ponytail put in solid performances throughout.
Unfortunately there were some crushing lows too! We played well against the GB U21 Girls, but conceded the lead in the dying seconds of golden goal. Boooo! Lego had some awful shooting catastrophes. Captain and ponytail tarnished the reputation of tees tigers by being awarded a stack of cards for unsportsmanly like behaviour and pre game threatening of the opposition respectively.
The A and B teams also attended, well 3 of the B-team did!
Scores on the doors!
A-team - A fairly strong performance, an emotional rollercoaster, finished 8th overall
B-team - A good tournament with the help of Nicky from the a-team and Jacket Jackson from Meridian (everyone’s second favourite Jackson brother behind Danjit, from everyone’s second favorite club). Finshed 3rd overall and made the crowd go wild with their astounding saves and flambouyance.
C-team - as per above, finishing fourth in the second division.
All in all the Tigers had a good, although incompetent at times, weekend in Hull.
