Half Term after the stresses of exams, what better opportunity to go sea Kayaking.  With our resident expert Ros there to guide us, it was bound to be fun!

Read on to find out more and to see a couple of pictures from the trip.Myself and Phil took our WWR boats as they’re a bit faster than polo boats and set out from Eyemouth harbour, taking a relaxing paddle up the coast to St Abbs. Rounding the head checking out the sea birds from the water was a new experience (for the birds too!).  There were all kinds of wildlife and we took the opportunity to get in close to the rocks with there being little swell.  There were also lots of craggy caves to explore, not the easiest of things to do in a WWR with a turning circle of a Bus!  Round the head we went and were guided towards a pebble beach with views up the coastline where we consumed a culinary delight (sandwiches and Ros’s homebaked cake) before heading back.

Sea Kayaking has never been a thing that I expected to try, nor enjoy so much, but having tried it a bit, I can see myself saving up to buy one!

Cheers Ros!
