What a fantastic weekend at the Holme Pierrepont Div1/2 the ‘better’ half of Tees Tigers had! This included fantastic performances by all the Tigers both on the Slalom course and the Rounders field, superb banter, food and drink around the Cresser campfire and a truly Tiger presence across the whole weekend. The scorching early summer weather added to the idyllic setting in Britain’s fine countryside…

Ok, I’m guessing I might have lost you with the last sentence! Maybe a slight over exaggeration! We did all have a good weekend though, despite realising that it’s a good job the boys do canoeing and not cricket or rounders as their throwing and catching had much to be desired! And the Tonks’ family came home with two scabby knees and a stiff neck/back, with James realising that he’s getting too old for this. Calum and Kris both managed to conquer the big water and are now eager to practice some more at the training camp in two weeks. And it didn’t rain!

Oh and I thought Sally might be interested in this web page http://www.roundersonline.net/rules.htm !

It’s also worth mentioning that honorary Tiger Dan ‘Danjit’ Robson proved he’s not only a polo canoeist this weekend with an awesome performance on Saturday securing him 1000 points. In Dan’s own words “well going for it hard had to work out once in three years!”

Now let’s see how quickly the other half of Tigers manage to let us know how Wagon Lane went. We’re counting…
